The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) plays a vital role as the national geospatial agency, serving as the guardian of Singapore's national spatial data infrastructure. As the national authority for land survey, SLA also maintains the geodetic survey system and ensures the accuracy of land boundaries across Singapore, providing the fundamental framework for all property boundaries and construction works.
At the heart of our responsibilities is the facilitating, sharing and integration of geospatial data across government agencies, enabling better coordination and decision-making. SLA also oversees the development and maintenance of OneMap, Singapore's authoritative national map platform that provides reliable, up-to-date geospatial information to both public and private sectors.
Beyond its technical functions, we drive innovation in the geospatial industry by promoting the adoption of new technologies and standards, through collaboration with various stakeholders to develop geospatial solutions that support Singapore's Smart Nation initiative, from 3D mapping of the city to the implementation of advanced surveying technologies. Through these efforts, SLA helps ensure that Singapore's geospatial capabilities remain at the forefront of technological advancement, supporting the nation's development and growth.
